Linkin Park That woman who stalked Linkin Park man Chester Bennington, to the extent that she hacked into his email and voicemail, stole private family photos, and then threatened the singer's wife, has been jailed for two years.
Devon Townsend admitted to cyber-stalking the Linkin Park star almost as soon as she was formally charged, admitting that she first hacked into Bennington's internet and mobile accounts, and then used the information she obtained to track his movements and go and stalk him in the real world. She admitted: "On at least one occasion, knowing that Chester Bennington was in Arizona, I travelled to Arizona solely for the purpose of trying to see him. While I was there, I monitored Chester Bennington's voicemails as a means of trying to locate where he might be eating".
Townsend is expected to start her sentence in a minimum-security prison in the next two months, and should receive mental health treatment while there.
